Channon Rose, 31, has been undergoing fertility treatments for years in hopes that she and her husband, Travis Dean could conceive a baby. Rose was elated when she found out that she was pregnant last month.
Channon assumed that she miscarried the baby, but later found out it was actually an ectopic pregnancy. Channon described the pain of losing both your baby and having a Fallopian tube removed.
“You still lose your baby and on top of that I have to have surgery AND I have to remove one of my Fallopian tubes when I already have fertility issues.”
Rose uploaded a post explaining her late night emergency. Rose had severe internal bleeding and was rushed to the E.R. with excruciating abdominal pain. Channon said that she’s far from home but is thankful to have a team of doctors that were able to figure out the issue right away.
“They fixed the main issue which was my internal bleeding. Then they found tissue in 2 different places which were most likely both pregnancies that implanted outside the pelvis & floating in my abdomen.”
Rose continued, “Hopefully, my HCG levels will go down & I won’t need the chemo drugs. They are keeping me for a few days in the hospital to monitor me to make sure everything is okay. But I didn’t want anyone to worry so please know I am okay & just a bit sore from the surgery. As soon as I know more I will let you know. I love you all so much & I have gotten a bit religious from all this so I am thanking God too for watching over me & keeping me safe.”
Rose then received more heartbreaking news when she discovered that she was still pregnant with times. However, the babies would not survive.
Channon made several visits to the emergency room because she was wasn’t feeling well and was bleeding heavily. Doctors subsequently discovered that her hCG levels had increased greatly, even after she had surgery to remove the ectopic pregnancy.
Back in the E.R. If you pray please pray for me to get better. I have a really rare ectopic pregnancy that has developed in my body where it's not supposed to be that's causing excruciating pain & anxiety. It's likely there's 2 pregnancies possibly one that has attached behind my uterus & another on my abdomen. My HCG levels were dropping but now they are going back up which isn't good bc these pregnancies aren't viable. This happens to 1 in 30 million the dr's say. I'm in philly to sign my books so I'm hoping they can fix me because I've been spending a lot of time in hospitals lately. I feel fine one second & then awful the next. I will keep you posted when I find out more. #iui #infertility #bilateralsalpingectomy #miscarriage #channonrose #pregnant #pregnancy #pregnancycomplications #ectopicpregnancy #emergencyroom #lovemeihurt
This confirmed that Channon was at one point expecting multiples. Rose said that her doc’s had reasons to believe that one embryo was in the abdomen and one was behind the uterus.
Days later, Channon revealed on Instagram with a photo of her receiving chemo treatment. Rose made it clear that she doesn’t have cancer but was administered the chemo treatment under the suggestion of her doctor. Channon said that it was the methotrexate is the same medicine used to treat cancer that is used to treat what she has going on in her body.
Channon Rose revealed that she was so scared to receive the treatment that she cried the whole time. However, she reminded fans that if she can do something scary than they are stronger than they think.
Currently, Rose is being monitored for safety precautions because the entire situation is so rare. Rose said that the entire situation has been devastating, but are grateful and thankful to viewers for their love, prayers, and support.
I received my chemo treatment last night. I DO NOT HAVE CANCER. It is just the same medicine they use to treat cancer as it is to treat what I have going on in my body. The dr's felt it was absolutely necessary to administer the chemo to me & although I was SO scared to receive the treatment & cried the whole time like a big baby I did it. If I can do that anyone can do anything so next time you have to do something scary just remember we are stronger than we think. Also, I don't know if it's from all the blood I lost during my surgery a few days before getting the methotrexate (chemo treatment) or if it's the cancer drug itself but I have felt so crummy. I've been extremely exhausted sleeping so much, my body hurts all over & from the surgery I'm still in pain from that so just a lot going on. I am doing my best to get in lots of fluids & food even though that is also a difficult task when you feel constant nausea from the chemo. As soon as I have the energy to edit I will post the vlogs as I have vlogged this whole time. 💪🏼 I think it's important to document this for so many reasons. Thank you all again for your love, support & prayers they mean the world to us. I love you. #ectopicpregnancy #miscarriage #hahnemannhospital #infertility #emergencysurgery #hospital #methotrexate #channonrose #recovery #healing #godisgood #philly
