Joshua Evans uploaded a vlog within minutes of Colleen Ballinger announcing Colleen’s decision to divorce him. Evans was visibly upset in the video, “Heartbroken” as he insisted Colleen asked him for a divorce. The vlog was uploaded to his YouTube channel, JoshuaDTV.
“I want it to be known I am not choosing this divorce,” he said. “I don’t want this divorce; I want her. But I truly believe that she thinks she is making the right decision right now. And I can’t make her decisions for her, I can only decide stuff on my own. My decision is to not end anything but you know, it’s her choice and I respect her life as well.”
Evans made it clear that Ballinger was not the “bad guy” in the situation and mentions he wasn’t the “perfect husband.”
“This moment in my life is one I never thought would happen and it is happening… Colleen and I are no longer together and Colleen is divorcing me and um, let me just off by saying, I’m not claiming to be the good guy in this situation and she’s the bad guy… I’m not claiming to be the perfect husband behind the scenes, but I want it to be known I am not choosing this divorce, I don’t want this divorce. I want her but I truly believe that she thinks she’s making the right decision right now and I can’t make her decisions for her, I can only decide stuff on my own and my decision is to not end anything.”
Joshua told fans not to send any hate toward Ballinger. Josh maintains he was faithful the entire duration of their marriage and so was Colleen. Josh says he cannot continue making videos as they would be fake. Joshua is going to step away from YouTube, Twitter and Instagram to “heal in private.”
